Afghani Appricot
Better known as “jardalu” or “khubani”, these velvety skinned, sweet apricots originate from Afghanistan with numerous health benefits, make them a popular selling dry fruit. Afghani apricots are a good source of vitamins A and C, as well as fiber.
They can be eaten as a snack, or they can be added to a variety of dishes, such as salads, oatmeal, yogurt, and smoothies. Afghani apricots can also be used to make apricot jam, apricot chutney, and apricot soup.
They can be stored in a cool, dry place for up to 12 months.
